Just 2 weeks ago, I was one of the lucky souls in the world who was able to get time off work to holiday across Australia, Penang, and Bali over 2 weeks. I had an amazing time at each of the distinctively different cities (and different climates might I add).
Unfortunately, I returned to the city to one of the worst week ever. It’s been raining every single day, I fell so sick that I had to see the doctor twice, took 2 strong jabs and tons of medication before getting back into pink health.
To get rid of all that bad energy and to reminisce the amazing time I had over the holidays, I thought it’ll be a great idea to share it with everyone.
Sydney, Australia: A trip with the family for my sister’s graduation at the beautiful campus of University of Sydney. [Leather jacket from galliano]
Top picks: My favorite brunch place Bills served my favorite corn fritters to perfection once again. Boathouse wows with amazing oysters and scallops and Eastbank is right by the Sydney Opera House and we got an amazing view of the Harbour Bridge.
Penang, Malaysia: A good friend Jamie, is a been-away-for-too-long Penang-ite who brought my sister and I around the old Peranakan city for a cover-it-all food tour. It was especially interesting to see a vehicle operating as a mini-supermarket; people would stop by in their motorbikes to buy little snacks on their way home. The green cones you see are banana leaves wrapped around delicious coconut rice.
Bali, Indonesia: This has always been one of my favorite beach vacation spots and it pleases once again. Everything was so beautiful, it requires zero photographic skills to produce photos like these. Love it. We stayed in Alila this time and it was amazing beyond words. This place has officially become the best place I’ve ever been.
Dedicating this photo collage to the season of beach holidays – packing light and chic is not hard. All you need are: light breezy separates, go everywhere sandals, color-pop bikini, hat, and a beach bag. Viola!
Clockwise: French Connection dress, Witchery bikini, H&M (floral blouse), Zara crochet shorts (shown here, and here), Zara sheer dipped hem skirt (similar sheer skirt), Naf Naf tank, Prada sandals, Havaianas flip flops
