S/S 2012 Challenge #20: Go Global

“Africa, India, or Bali – fashion takes us on a trip around the world as designers look to exotic locations for inspiration.” net-a-porter

This is the 2nd of the two-posts linking “Go Global” and “The Evening Flat” (which was posted last week.)

With the inspirations from exotic locations, we saw interesting exotic prints, woven fabrics, and stone/bone embellishments, etc from the designers this season.

For this challenge, I am taking inspiration from my recent trip to Bali, so I’ll be putting together:

1. dress – weather appropriate for Bali and yet resort-chic

2. flats – perfect for a day-to-night transition as well as walking along the beach

3. clutch – an interesting printed clutch

The clutch was a purchase on trip to Vietnam with my friends a few years ago; and I bought it from a little shop selling locally made accessories and dresses. Thinking back, I wished I had bought more clutches then!

Why this post was part of a two-posts linked to “Evening Flat” was because both outfits are suitable for Bali-type vacations where you great summer dress and flats are necessary pieces you take on a holiday.

This post links up to “The Evening Flat” as both are perfect-for-Bali outfits; cute summer dress / nice flats / clutch.
