While the military or camo jacket had been lingering around for a while, I’ve only made my first acquisition a few months back.
Since then, this intimidating out-of-my-comfort-zone piece had been surprisingly versatile and I found it to be a perfect substitute for the Blazer – the piece I use to dress up jeans, shorts, mini skirts, and what-have-you. What I love most is the military/camo jacket is casual, yet not sloppy; presenting an option of ‘casualising’ an outfit that the blazer sometimes lack.
For this outfit, I have styled it belted over a simple white collared shirt and orange pants for a burst of color which works beautifully against the army green. And in this awkward period in between Summer and Fall, you get the option to keep the jacket on or off. Viola!
